Does Your Dog Have Star Quality? Photographer Andrew Grant Holds Dog Casting Call for Next Book

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Acclaimed commercial photographer Andrew Grant is holding a casting call for dogs at Book Soup at 8818 Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, CA on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 11 AM to 3 PM. Grant is searching for dogs to be featured in his next major book entitled, Woof.

Grant just released Rover, a big, stunning coffee table book which features over 200 soulful portraits of shelter and purebred dogs. Rover was produced as an effort to promote awareness and raise money for pet shelters and rescue organizations.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of Rover, Grant is now searching for 150 rescue and purebred dogs to be featured in Woof. Alternatively, owners contributing a minimum of $500 can secure a page in Woof provided a similar breed has not already been selected. Donors and sponsors help to offset the extraordinary costs of producing, distributing and marketing the book enabling Grant to donate profits to rescues and shelters.

“I’m proud that Rover has not only generated proceeds for pet shelters, but has also facilitated the rescue of cats and dogs at events like these. Pets enrich our lives, bring us priceless moments of joy and only ask for a home in return,” states Grant. Woof, which will also feature dogs owned by celebrities, will be released in 2010. Like Rover, Woof will demonstrate that there are beautiful dogs available for adoption from rescues and shelters everywhere.
