Etymotic Research Introduces the hf3™ Headset, the Next Generation of Its Multi-Award-Winning hf2™ Headset

LAS VEGAS–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Etymotic Research, the original inventor of noise-isolating, high-fidelity in-ear earphones, has introduced the hf3™ headset with 3-button remote control, a Made-for-iPod®/Works with iPhone version of its multi-award-winning hf2™ headset.

“Etymotic Research established an uncompromising performance standard with our hf2 headset, which has won more than a dozen awards to date, the most recent recognition is inclusion in the Wall Street Journal’s Top 10 Gadgets of 2009,” said Mead Killion, Ph.D., CTO and president of Etymotic Research. “The hf3 headset adds a 3-button remote control while maintaining all the design features, exceptional noise-isolation and audio clarity of the hf2 headset.”

The hf3 is designed to work with iPhone and all current iPod models. The main difference between the hf2 and hf3 is the added user benefit of volume control. The 3-button remote control of the hf3 headset makes it easier than ever for a user to pause, adjust and navigate through music tracks on a playlist while exercising, commuting or engaged in other activities. Users can make clear phone calls with the integrated high-sensitivity microphone and adjust volume on the run (sometimes literally) if music selections are not all recorded at the same level.

Etymotic Research will demonstrate the new hf3 headset at booth #3814 in the iLounge Pavilion in the North Hall at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), January 7-10, 2010, in Las Vegas.
