Midwest Technology Companies to Make Impact at the 2010 International CES
More Than 150 Midwest Companies to Exhibit at 2010 CES
ARLINGTON, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– More than 150 Midwest technology companies will showcase their latest consumer electronics (CE) products at the 2010 International CES® – the world’s largest consumer technology tradeshow. The 2010 International CES runs January 7-10 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Among more than 2,500 CES exhibitors, a record number of first time exhibitors will reveal their latest CE products to more than 110,000 attendees.
“CES is the ideal launching pad for our products, which this year includes the world’s first ultra-slim articulated wall arm mount for ultra-thin flat panel TVs,” said Mike Campagna, President of Melrose Park, Illinois based Peerless Industries, exhibiting in Booth #11440, Central Hall. “Everyone in the consumer electronics industry attends, and we can get in front of both buyers and media all in one place.”
The 2010 CES will host new CE Spotlights on the show floor, including new destinations: EHX@CES, a dedicated show experience with free manufacturer training, an exclusive attendee reception, complimentary access to the high-performance audio demo rooms and CE Pro Headquarters; iLounge Pavilion will feature iPod, iPhone and Macintosh related products and technologies; and Living in Digital Times, which turns the concept of a traditional exhibit upside-down with focus on technology that’s relevant to particular lifestyles. After successful launches of Kids@Play and the Silvers Summit, Living in Digital Times has added the Digital Health Summit, Mommy Tech and HigherEd TechZones.
“We love CES because it’s a great proving ground for our products,” said John Burton, founder of Burton Technologies, LLC, of Ludington, Michigan. “If the gadget lovers at CES respond well to our products, we know we’ve got something good. Last year our Acoustibuds were a huge hit, this year we have a few new products up our sleeve that we hope will be huge hits as well. We design and manufacture our products right in Michigan and it makes me proud to watch people from around the globe experience them at CES.”
Other must-see attractions at the 2010 CES include: The Gaming Showcase featuring gaming hardware and software with the entire range of consumer electronics products — from online PC and HD gaming, plasma HDTV and home theater furniture to surround sound and power conditioning hardware; Location Based Services (LBS), which includes the Safe Driver TechZone, serves as the premiere location for providers of custom technologies, services and advertising sent to portable and in-car navigation devices, based on their current locations; and Sustainable Planet the hot spot for world-changing technologies, whether benefiting the environment, utilizing new forms of sustainable energy, renewing our resources, or contributing to the development of nations both on and off the grid.
“The International CES is the biggest consumer electronics tradeshow of the year, and we look forward to participating again in 2010—our 22nd year at this event—because of the many professional relationships we are able to establish at the show and the growing amount of new business opportunities,” said Keith Pribyl, vice president of consumer sales for Sanus Systems, based in St. Paul, Minnesota. “This year we will be showcasing many of our innovative new TV wall mounts, audio video furniture, consumer electronics accessories and a new line of AV equipment racks for dedicated home theater systems.”
The 2010 International CES will host 20 market-specific TechZones throughout the Las Vegas Convention Center. These TechZones will highlight the latest in 3D Technology, Digital Health, eBooks, Netbooks, Robotics, and much more.
In addition, the CES conference program kicks off on Wednesday January 6, 2010, featuring more than 250 conference sessions with 800 top tier speakers. The conference program unites the industry’s most respected experts to address the latest trends, strategies and profit opportunities in consumer technology. The 2010 program will have nine Knowledge Tracks, including; Emerging Technology, Home Entertainment and Lifestyle Technologies, Issues and Attitudes, In–Vehicle Technology, Just the Facts: Research, Reports and Revelation, Technology and The Environment, Wireless Communications, Wireless Retail and brand new UP NEXT at CES: Creativity, Content and Cash.
“This is our second time participating in the Silver Summit at CES and we couldn’t be more excited,” said Jake Sigal, 28-year-old Founder and CEO of the Ferndale, Michigan based company Myine Electronics and inventor of the USB turntable. “The baby boomer demographic is an often overlooked audience when it comes to consumer electronics and new technologies. My boomer parents are the reason I started this business and I love making cool radios for them. Visit us in the North Hall, booth #2806.”
