Nihon Kohden America Announces the Auction of Its Latest EEG Technology in Support of the AES Lennox and Lombroso Trust for Epilepsy Research and Training
IRVINE, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Nihon Kohden America, Inc. today announced that proceeds from the auction of its new EEG-1200A EEG Diagnostic and Monitoring system will be presented to the American Epilepsy Society (AES) in support of the Lennox and Lombroso Trust for Epilepsy Research and Training. The Cleveland Clinic Foundation will be recognized as the highest tender of $23,360.00. A check presentation ceremony will take place at 6:00 p.m. December 6th during the Lennox and Lombroso Trust for Research & Training Reception at the AES annual scientific meeting in Boston. AES president Steven C. Schachter, M.D., will be receiving the funds on behalf of the society.

AES is the world’s leading organization for professional training in Epilepsy treatment and research. AES has an ongoing commitment to education and research, and has devoted a significant portion of its operating income to support them. Importantly, AES has emphasized basic and clinical research opportunities for fellows and junior faculty at critical starting points in their careers, and this has been accomplished via peer-reviewed grants in collaboration with the Epilepsy Foundation.
