NJVC Promotes Kevin Gustin to Chief Information Officer
VIENNA, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– NJVC, one of the largest information technology solutions providers supporting the U.S. Department of Defense, promoted Kevin Gustin to chief information officer — a new position in the company. He previously was principal engineer in the office of the chief technology officer.
In his new role, Gustin provides the strategic direction for and leads the company’s information technology operations, including all data centers, technical service centers, production scheduling functions, help desks, communication networks (voice and data), computer program development and computer systems operations.

As principal engineer, Gustin was responsible for the NJVC corporate IT department. He was originally hired in 2006 as deputy director, enterprise solutions. Previously, Gustin was director of network development at the May Department Stores in St. Louis, where he managed the overall design and development of a data and video network with more than 1,000 locations. Earlier in his career, he was senior design engineer with Washington University and network administrator with National Imagery and Mapping — both in St. Louis. Gustin is a Cisco-certified network professional and an ITIL® practitioner.
Gustin serves as a member of the Cisco Systems Enterprise Technical Advisory Board and Microsoft’s Technical Advisory Board. He earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Missouri in St. Louis.
