ContainerSafe solves a long standing security challenge for high value cargo moved by shipping containers across land and sea by enabling 24×7 monitoring of container status and location, ensuring immediate notification of any unauthorized activity during transit. The new ground-breaking product is a milestone for cargo security that works to reduce theft opportunities of cargo in-transit.

Shippers of goods and intermodal carriers are able to install the unit on the container door after loading the shipment. The installation and removal process takes less than one minute, requires no tools, and minimizes the impact of operations personnel handling the load. Once the container door is sealed, the unit immediately registers with the OnAsset Platform, a web-based, software-as-a-service (SaaS) system providing visibility to container security and status throughout the duration of the trip.
Security is a major concern for cargo shippers and tighter security measures are more easily enforced across the entire supply chain with OnAsset solutions. The combination of ContainerSafe with the OnAsset Platform provides more than a position-tracking system. The full solution allows for the monitoring of container dwell time, load status and chain of custody. In addition, real-time notifications can be created when containers enter or depart unique points of interest like customs locations and major depots. Full routes can also be managed with the help of unique business rules that can be applied to create alarms and notifications to email and text addresses if containers veer off course.
The tracking unit is a ruggedized mobile device with dual-mode cellular and satellite communications capabilities. The unit comes equipped with GPS, a door sensor and a variety of load monitoring options including shock, temperature, humidity and light sensors.
