ISTANBUL, February 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ — Turkcell (NYSE: TKC, ISE:
TCELL), announced that P3 Communications, one of the world's leading
independent measurement and monitoring companies, conducted a series of tests
around Istanbul using ISO 9001:2000 certified quality management systems in
January 2010.

As a result of the testing and analysis of average 3G data download and
data transmission rates, Turkcell has been awarded the "leadership
certificate" by P3 Communications. The tests and measurements confirmed once
again that Turkcell's 3G internet service is up to 2 times faster than the 3G
internet services offered by other mobile operators in Turkey.

Ilter Terzioglu, Turkcell's Chief Network Operations Officer, said that:
"Turkcell's 3G coverage has exceeded 70% in the last 6 months. In August 2009
and in January 2010, an international independent audit of all 3G operators
confirmed that Turkcell is the fastest operator in mobile Internet in Turkey.
