PracticeMax to Take Coding Paperless at Thibodaux RMC
Thibodaux Chooses PracticeMax for Fast Implementation, Effectiveness of Internet-Based Software
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– PracticeMax announced it has signed a contract with Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, Thibodaux, Louisiana. PracticeMax will provide coding services for the hospital’s emergency physician group. The Thibodaux emergency department treats approximately 30,000 patients per year.
“We were very pressed for time with this decision, and PracticeMax was the only company that could accommodate us,” says Maxine Minton, director of physician services at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. “Their Internet-based software is a major reason why they’re able to be so responsive and we were able to get started so quickly.”
PracticeMax began providing “paperless coding” services to Thibodaux in early August. Clinical documentation and patient demographic information is scanned at the emergency department, uploaded to PracticeMax, and prepared for the billing process by PracticeMax’s certified coders.
“Of course, we’re excited to expand our presence in Louisiana,” says Bill Carns, CEO at PracticeMax. “But even more so, we are looking forward to achieving greater results for Thibodaux as they benefit from our technology and expertise to enhance coding as well as their revenue cycle management process overall.”
In conjunction with its coding services, PracticeMax will also deliver provider documentation training to improve Thibodaux’s charge capture and revenue performance.
