THE ULTIMATE IN EMPOWERMENT – FIGHT BACK!
With increasing numbers of women seeking life enriching, empowering experiences, Adrenalin.com.au, Australia’s leading experience company, has introduced a selection of activities which help females improve their sense of confidence and strength, and allow them to take empowerment into their own hands.
When walking down an empty street at night, the majority of women are nervous. With crime
figures and frightening stories regularly reported in the media, the fear this produces leads women to feel afraid and vulnerable, yet a key step in reducing the risk of attack is to present a strong, confident attitude.
A great way of kick-starting this empowered attitude is with an activity that increases physical and emotional confidence. The newest addition to Adrenalin.com.au’s selection of experiences is
“Fight Back” self-defense, where women can experience the high-adrenaline and stress of an
assault situation and learn to defuse it – both verbally and physically.
“Fight Back” self-defense classes include instruction and practice of techniques to deal with an
aggressor who is usually physically stronger than the victim. The classes cover topics including
avoidance and preventative measures, fight or flight and fast methods of causing serious damage
to the attacker. Predators look for a weak victim, and this course teaches women to be stronger
and confident through training – attributes which will flow into other areas of life.
Led by Greg McKenzie, a qualified amateur boxing coach, personal trainer and former celebrity
bodyguard, Greg is skilled in providing realistic self-defense tuition, an activity that can help women build confidence and awareness, the first line in self-defense.
“Most bullies and potential assailants look for a victim they perceive to be weaker than themselves and unlikely to put up resistance, so confident body language and a resolve to fight back, perhaps just verbally, is your first line of defense” says Greg.
Amelia Jones, Director of Adrenalin.com.au comments: “We’ve seen a big increase in the
number of females contacting us to take part in the variety of experiences we offer. It’s great to be able to provide women with a selection of life enriching activities and the popularity of these offerings shows that women are looking for their own kinds of adventures, encounters which are both enjoyable and empowering.”
“Fight Back” joins Defensive Driving and Trapeze Skills as activities available at Adrenalin.com.au which help women take control of life. Defensive Driving (from $275) is available nationwide and helps drivers increase confidence with a mix of practical and theoretical components that deliver actual on-road safety skills which underpin proactive driving. Relevant and enjoyable, this course will stop any female driver comments whilst improving ability levels and ultimately confidence behind the wheel and beyond.
Trapeze Skills (from $48) teaches participants how to fly on the trapeze and perform tricks, all in a fun, encouraging atmosphere. A certain degree of bravery is required to make the leap but once in the swing of things, the confidence and new found bravery gained will be apparent in all areas of life.
“Fight Back” is available as an individual session ($120) or as a group session for 3-8 friends ($85 per person) Simply log onto www.adrenalin.com.au, pick the experience you like, and hit “book now.” It’s that easy!
